Loani Arman is an emerging writer and director whose films put women firmly in the centre of the story. In 2019, Loani w…on the AACTA Pitch Forever Unexpected competition and went on to make her short film, OUR GREATEST ESCAPE. Later that year, she was selected for the Screen Queensland Charlie’s Lab in Los Angeles where she was mentored by Cindy Chupack (SEX AND THE CITY) to develop a half hour TV pilot. In 2018, Loani was the director’s attachment on THE END, and that same year, wrote and directed the comedy pilot, THE MOTHER LOAD. Funded by Screen Queensland, it went on to win Best Pilot at WebFest Berlin and was nominated for Best TV Pilot at the Pilot Light TV Festival in the UK. In 2017, Loani produced and co-directed web documentary, MY BODY SAYS, funded through Screen Australia and WHIMN’s Doco180 initiative. Earlier in her career, Loani was the Drama Associate at Showtime Australia where she worked closely with esteemed Executive Producer, Kim Vecera, on TANGLE and CLOUDSTREET.
Meg O’Connell is an International Emmy award-winning and -nominated producer. She’s the company director at Unless Pic…tures, where she co-created, wrote and produced RETROGRADE for ABC TV, co-produced with Orange Entertainment Co. Meg is part of Screen Australia’s Talent USA delegation for 2020. She is currently developing a series for Snapchat and Screen Australia, co-created with Anna Barnes and co-produced with Orange. Meg was the development manager on the Logie and International Emmy Award-winning Ludo Studio series BLUEY. During her time at Ludo, Meg produced the International Emmy award-winning DOODLES for ABC ME, the AACTA Award-winning ROBBIE HOOD for SBS On Demand, and CONTENT for ABC iview. CONTENT was recently nominated for an International Emmy.
Martha Goddard is an award-winning writer and director of short drama, documentary and web content, having screened at o…ver 30 film festivals around the world. Earlier this year, Martha directed an episode of Jonathan M Shiff’s acclaimed television series, THE BUREAU OF MAGICAL THINGS, SEASON 2. Microshorts series ALL OUR EGGS is also available via Instagram and TikTok. Martha’s work is distinguished by a striking visual style and strong performances. She is passionate about the collaborative process and ambitious to write distinctive, empowering content across many platforms.
